The App is intended for use as is.

The App is available as a Free Version, and you may complete an in-app purchase to unlock the Pro Version.

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully and ensure that you understand it. Your acceptance of Our Privacy Policy is deemed to occur upon your first use of Our Application. If you do not accept and agree with this Privacy Policy, you must stop using Our App immediately.

“Pro Version” means a paid level of Service that provides additional features, advanced functions and more Sudoku puzzles.
“Device” means any device that can access the Service such as an Apple iPhone or Apple iPad.
“You/Your” means to any individual accessing or using the Service, or the company, or other legal entity on behalf of which such individual is accessing or using the Service, as applicable.
“Personal Data” means any information that relates to an identified or identifiable individual.

This App is owned and maintained by How To Sudoku, a limited company registered in England and Wales under company number 16758283, whose registered address is 128 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom.

3. What Does This Policy Cover?

This Privacy Policy applies to your use of Our App. Our App contains a link to our website to provide App feedback, and a link to the Apple Store (third party product) for you to provide a review.

Please note that We have no control over how your personal data is collected, stored, or used by third-party products. We advise you to check the privacy policies of any third-party product before providing any data to them.

4.2 If you have any cause for complaint about Our use of your personal data, please contact Us using the details provided in Part 14 and We will do Our best to solve the problem for you. If We are unable to help, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with the United Kingdom’s supervisory authority, the Information Commissioner’s Office.

5. What Personal Data Do We Collect?

5.1 When providing feedback on our website, you will need to provide an email address, and optionally a name and telephone number.

5.2 In a case of an error in the App We collect data and information (through third party products) on your phone called Log Data. This Log Data may include information such as your Device Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, Device name, operating system version, the configuration of the App when utilising Our App, the time and date of your use of the App, and other statistics.

6. How Do We Use Your Personal Data?

6.1 All personal data is processed and stored securely, for no longer than is necessary considering the reason(s) for which it was first collected. We will comply with Our obligations and always safeguard your rights under the Data Protection Regulation. For more details on security see Part 7, below.

6.2 Our collection and use of your personal data will always have a lawful basis because it is in Our legitimate interest to collect and use such information. Specifically, We may use your data for the following purposes:

6.2.1 Replying to feedback and emails from you;

6.2.2 Analysing your use of Our App;

6.2.3 Gathering your feedback to enable Us to continually improve Our App and your user experience.

6.3 You have the right to withdraw your consent to Us using your personal data at any time, and to request that We delete it.

6.4 We do not keep your personal data for any longer than is necessary in light of the reason(s) for which it was first collected. Data will therefore be retained for the following periods (or its retention will be determined on the following bases): We shall as a default keep your data on file for 5 years of your last activity.

7. How and Where Do We Store and/or Transfer Your Personal Data?

7.1 We only keep your personal data for as long as We need to in order to use it as described above in Part 6 or for as long as We have your permission to keep it.

7.2 The security of your personal data is essential to Us, and to protect your data, We take a number of important measures, including the following:

7.2.1 Limiting access to your personal data to those employees, agents, contractors, and other third parties with a legitimate need to know and ensuring that they are subject to duties of confidentiality; and

7.2.2 implementing procedures for dealing with data breaches (the accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorised disclosure of, or access to, your personal data) including notifying you and/or the Information Commissioner’s Office where We are legally required to do so.

8. Do We Share Your Personal Data?

8.1 We may compile statistics about the use of Our App and Services including data on, usage patterns. All such data will be anonymised and will not include any personally identifying data, or any anonymised data that can be combined with other data and used to identify you.

8.2 In certain circumstances, We may be legally required to share certain data held by Us, which may include your personal data, for example, where We are involved in legal proceedings, where We are complying with legal requirements, a court order, or public or governmental authorities.

10.1 In addition to your rights under the Data Protection Regulation, set out in Part 4, when you submit personal data to Us via Our App or otherwise, you may be given options to restrict Our use of your data.

11.1 You may access certain areas of Our App without providing any data at all. However, to use all features and functions available on Our App you may be required to submit or allow for the collection of certain data.

12. How Can You Access Your Personal Data?

12.1 You have the right to ask for a copy of any of your personal data held by Us (where such data is held). Under the Data Protection Regulation, no fee is payable and We will provide any and all information in response to your request free of charge. 13. Children’s Privacy

13.1 These Services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. In the case we discover that a child under 13 has provided Us with personal information, We will immediately delete this from our servers. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided Us with personal information, please contact Us so that We will be able to do necessary actions.

14.1 This California Privacy Rights Addendum (“Addendum”) supplements Our Privacy Policy and applies solely to California residents, as required by the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA).
